How did Sid come about?
“Sid’s Adventures in Spain” started life as a newspaper series published every week in the Costa Blanca News.  As a character he popped into my mind one day out of nowhere, and my daughter Sara’s first sketch of him immediately brought him to life.  As the weeks have gone by, Sid has taken on a complete identity all of his own, as have the various friends and acquaintances that make up his social circle.

As Sid’s story started to approach its natural conclusion, I decided to pursue the idea of publishing his adventures as a bilingual story book.  I thought that most of the work had been done and that it would be an easy task, but in fact I have spent many long hours getting him up to a publishable standard.
