Spanish English translations – to eat it crude

Yes, you may well look twice at the title it does look a bit dubious.  However, it is merely a reflection of the Spanish word for “raw” which is “crudo”.  So, every time that recipe tells you to use a raw egg, raw meat or to serve your vegetables raw, they not being “crude” at all.  Sorry to disappoint you.  A crude person would be “grosero”, or “grosera” if it were a she.  To remember the Spanish word perhaps think if “crude oil”, which doesn’t mean it comes out of the ground shouting out rude words.
