Don’t call a Spade an Espada

A spade is actually a “pala” in Spanish.  When you buy a bucket and spade for the kids to take to the beach you need a “cubo y pala”.  So what’s an “espada” I hear you ask?  It is in fact a “sword”.  You’d look pretty silly taking one of those to the beach really, wouldn’t you?
